At Docks and Lifts, we specialize in fabricating custom built mounting systems that match the shoreline at your cottage or boathouse. The advantage to this type of mount is it allows the ramp on your new floating dock to adjust regardless of high or low water levels during a boating season. Custom widths and mounting configurations are available for this product. Call our sales staff today at 1-807-547-4444 to find out more about the pre-built sizes in stock for your ramp.
Lake of the woods shorelines can vary greatly. Steep rocky shorelines are common on Lake of the Woods, the Winnipeg River system and other areas affected by power dams and frequent fluctuations in water levels. The Shore Deck systems are designed according to your size requirements (deck surface) and the type of lake, shoreline profile and water level variance over the seasons.
Sometimes shore decks must be extended to accommodate severe water fluctuations
Crib mounted shore plate bolted to the face of a crib for a hinged walkway attachment. Inside corner brackets typically support and hold the structure to the crib joists inside.
Walkways come in standard 4’ 6’ and 8’ widths and can be built to lengths up to 24’. The length depends on the water fluctuation and depth, the longest usually being located on sites subject to large differentials in water levels.
Winterizing the dock and walkway helps to prevent winter ice damage to the hinges and billets (floats), by allowing for free movement during thaw and ice in. The removable decking helps lighten the walkway by as much as 2/3 the weight.
Removable hand rails for steep or narrow walkways.
